My son Kelton and i have used Jake on 3 different lakes this summer. His ability as a guide is impressive, however, as a father , my respect for Jake has nothing to do with fishing!
Mr. Davis has the unique ability to educate and communicate with young men in a fun, instructional and genuine manner. The conversations were always positive, healthy, and multiple questions were answered with respect for his client and student.
Jake Davis has earned this fathers respect and trust!!

Jake is a great guide and an even better person. He will go "the extra mile" to give you the best trip of your life. He has a warm personality and the heart of a teacher. I would recommend Jake as a guide, and as a pro staff team member!

A good guide isn't just someone that puts you on fish. Is someone that tells you why they are there, and what you need to be looking for. Basically, a teacher of sorts. Jake its your teacher!

Known Jake for several years. Great person and fellow guide. He would be a great addition to any company staff.
Jake has shown a lot of people to fish. He always knows what to use to get the bite. He even had this ability over thirty years ago when I first met him. I am Glad that I did get that chance. Expect a good time with him as your guide.

Just wanted to give a little shout out to Captain Jake Davis from Mid South Bass Guide. I had the pleasure of fishing this weekend on Nickajack with these guys. The weather was horrible but we did catch some good ones. Their equipment is top notch, they know the water and are pretty dang good fisherman too. Above all they will bend over backwards to make sure you have a good time and enjoy your day on the water. Thanks guys!
I would highly recommend this outfit if you are planning a trip to Tennessee.

In the last six months, I have used Jakes' services multiple times and, as an avid fisherman, know when fishing is easy or tough. Every time we have gone out, it has been tough. However, Jake has been determined to locate the fish for me and he has always come through. I have nothing but high praise for him and the effort he puts into finding fish. As a retired veteran, with a strong military background, Jake uses that discipline to seek out and find fish. He goes out of his way to ensure that I have had as successful a trip as possible. I have gone out with other guides before and they have never put out the effort he does. i would go as far as to personally guarantee that, if there are fish to be caught, he will find them!

Thanks Jake for a great trip under rough conditions. You know when you have whitecaps in a slough about 80 feet wide it is tough. At times I was fatigued due to trying to keep my balance while the boat rocked. I have been in calmer waters in the Gulf of Mexico 50 miles out - LOL! Jake is really equipped for just about anything for you guys wanting to test him out. He has a boat load of quality equipment and is really a hard working fisherman for fishermen!
He has the new rods with the microguides and I have never used one before but I will say they are impressive on casting distance. One time with a big swimbait I almost dumped the reel with my cast!

If anyone is wanting to fish Guntersville Jake is a top notch guy. I fished a day with him last summer and had a blast.

Hi Jake, Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for a great trip. We had a blast fishing with you, caught fish including a hog, and got to see some of the top of the line fish finders on the market. Thanks again for a great day and for the info you gave us for the next day. Next time we'll book with you for multiple days.
Thanks, Bill McCoy
