Dec 28, 2013 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report, – I had the pleasure of spending the last couple days with Tim and Jonathan from North Carolina.  Friday was the better of the two days as we focused on the front two thirds of main lake pockets which consisted of transition areas of chunk rock to gravel in 8 to 26 FOW.    Our best results came on Texas rigged D-Bombs and Tightline Football head Jigs both worked extremely slow.  Water temperatures ranged from 48 to 51 degrees.    Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting winter and spring fishing on Guntersville and Tim’s Ford! 12-13 June 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – Over the last two days we’ve been catching a mixed bag of Smallmouth, Largemouth and Stripers. Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 15-16 May 2015 – I had a couple trips on out this weekend on Tim’s Ford, first Friday morning with returning client Earl Hull and Saturday evening was with a couple of great families out wanting to learn a little more about fishing the lake.   The bite was slow but the we managed to catch a few.  We focused on main lake points and the pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 10-15 FOW.  We fished only light line, 6 pound test Vicious Pro Elite Flouro for me and a Spot remover with a finesse bait all worked in 4 to 20 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 66-68 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting late spring/early summer fishing on Tims Ford, Normandy and 


Oct 31, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – Had the pleasure of fishing with Rodney and Eric yesterday on Tim’s Ford.  We caught a mixed bag of Smallmouth and Largemouth. Oct 12, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – I had the pleasure of fishing with returning clients Tony Kirkpatrick, his dad and Doug Luttrell this past week on Tim’s in between my trips to Guntersville.  We caught a mixed bag of Smallmouth and Largemouth each day. Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 2 Jan 2015- 2015 started out like 2014 ended…cool and rainy, my brother with his family stopped in for New Years and we could not pass up a couple hours on the water Friday Morning…my nephew Alex and I managed to put several good quality fish in the boat, while Kevin played net man. Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 15 April 2015 – Today was another exceptional day on the lake…it started with Trey, Chuck and I boating 30 plus Smallmouth and Largemouth and then Mr. Earl Hull of Murfreesboro TN joined me for an afternoon trip which was topped by a 6.02 Giant Smallmouth caught on a Missile Baits Shockwave Swimbait along with 8 other smallmouth and 3 stripers…We focused on main lake points and the pockets. We fished Texas Rigged D-Stroyers, Tightline Jigs on 17 pound test Vicious Ultimate and the big producer of the day was a Spot remover with a finesse bait all worked in 4 to 25 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 63-66 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting late spring/early summer fishing 

Apr 28, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – We had a good day going yesterday until we got run off the water by strong winds.  If you are going to fish the area lakes please use caution as there is lots of floating objects from the additional water and winds.  We focused on main lake pockets which consisted of transition areas of chunk rock to gravel in 6 to 22 FOW and caught Smallmouth and several black perch.  Our best results came on finesse baits rigged on a spot remover and top water baits such as Lucky Craft Sammy and Rapala X-Rap Poppers.  We also fished shock wave swim baits from Missile Baits, Texas rigged D-Bombs and Tightline Football head Jigs.  Water temperatures ranged from 64-67 degrees.   Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting late spring fishing on Guntersville and 


Dec 13, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – We had a blast catching a mixed bag of Largemouth and Smallmouth. Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 1 May 2015 – Capt Rick McFerrin from Tennessee Bass Guides and I finally had to chance to fish together today on Tims Ford.  The bite was a little slower with the colder air temps this morning on Tim’s Ford, we only managed some good Smallmouth and 1 nice striper.  We did notice several pods of shad running the banks today early…this means only one thing the shad spawn is not far off, especially with the warmer days ahead…We focused on main lake points and the pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 10-15 FOW.  We fished only light line, 6 pound test Vicious Pro Elite Flouro for me and a Spot remover with a finesse bait all worked in 4 to 20 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 66-68 degrees. 


Nov 11, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – First and foremost, to all those who served prior to, with and after myself it is my honor to say Thank You for protecting our way of life.  What a week, when I was not on Guntersville, we were on Tim’s Ford catching some really nice Smallmouth.  Each day produced a mixed bag of Smallmouth and Largemouth. We focused on main lake points and the front one third of the pockets.  Our best results came spot removers rigged with small worms, sped craws and grubs; we also caught fish on Tightline Mussel Crawler Jigs and DT 16 Rapala Crankbaits.  Water temperatures ranged from 61-63 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting winter fishing on Tim’s Ford and Guntersville! 

Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 10 May 2015 – I had a couple trips on out this weekend on Tim’s Ford, first Saturday evening was a bite slow but the fellas managed to catch a few.  Sunday morning Mr Mike Bradley and his better half joined me for some early morning action.  The shad spawn is in full gear on Tim’s Ford along docks and rock banks with would.  We focused on main lake points and the pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 10-15 FOW.  We fished only light line, 6 pound test Vicious Pro Elite Flouro for me and a Spot remover with a finesse bait all worked in 4 to 20 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 66-68 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting late spring/early summer fishing on Tims Ford, 

May 10, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – Spent the morning with Larry, Bill and Ron catching a mixed bag of Smallmouth, Largemouth and Stripers.  We focused on main lake areas chasing schooling fish.  It appears the shad spawn is starting as we caught several good fish chasing on the banks. 29 Nov – 1 Dec 2014, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – Another great weekend on the water with clients from Franklin TN to South Florida.  We had a blast catching a mixed bag of Crappie, Largemouth and Smallmouth. We focused on main lake points and the front two thirds of the pockets.  For Smallmouth and Largemouth our best results came spot removers rigged with small worms, sped craws and grubs; we also caught fish on Tightline Mussel Crawler Jigs and X-Rap Jerkbaits from Rapala .  As far as the Crappie we had our best results using Booby Garland Slab Slayer jigs on 4 pound test line, worked around docks and brush in 10 to 25 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 52 to 56 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations 


Apr 19-20, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report, – What a weekend on Tim’s Ford…Saturday we had the Estopinal Easter weekend opening and thanks to fellow anglers and guides Dave Watson, Shay Doming, Cody Hammontree, Ryan Heilmann and Casey Matlock they caught lots of fish and had a blast! Most guides stated they focused on main lake pockets which consisted of transition areas of chunk rock to gravel in 8 to 20 FOW and caught a mixed bag of Largemouth and Smallmouth.    Our best results came on finesse baits rigged on a spot remover.  We also fished shock wave swim baits from Missile Baits, Texas rigged D-Bombs and Tightline Football head Jigs.  Water temperatures ranged from 59-61 degrees.  My second trip yesterday was with another lake resident and returning client and we caught all our fish on finesse baits on spot removers.  Today, Gregg Schumann from Huntsville joined me for a short morning trip and we absolutely whacked them.  Gregg and I boated over 20 Smallmouth and another 5-6 Largemouth in just under 5 hours on D-Bombs and Spot Removers in 10-18 FOW our best five would have gone 17-19 pounds easy…

Most fish where caught on 1/2oz Tightline Jigs, finesse baits and Sped Craws on spot removers all worked slowly. Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 9 Apr 2016 – The action on Tims Ford is good to outstanding for the most part…this morning started out slow but we managed to finish strong as the water warmed up a little.  We focused on Main lake points and pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 5-20 FOW.  Water temperatures are still warm for this time of the year ranging from 58 to 60 degrees. Most fish where caught on 1/2oz Tightline Jigs, finesse baits and Sped Craws on spot removers all worked slowly. Tim’s Ford Fishing Report - 15 Mar 2016 – The action on Tims Ford is good to outstanding for the most part…We focused on Main lake points and pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 5-20 FOW.  Water temperatures are still warm for this time of the year ranging from 58 to 60 degrees. Most fish where caught on Sammy’s and Pop-R’s with several others coming on 1/2oz Tightline Jigs, Texas Rigged D-Bombs and Sped Craws on spot removers all worked slowly.  


Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 23-27 Oct 2015 – The action on Tims Ford remained good despite the rain…the bite is still soft/light and at times hard to detect, but when you realized what was going on and set the hook there was absolutely no doubt what you had a hold of…We focused on secondary points and pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 5-20 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 64 to 67 degrees. Dec 5-11, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – Another great week on the water with clients from North Pole to Kelso TN. Including a visit from Santa!!!  We had a blast catching a mixed bag of Crappie, Largemouth and Smallmouth. We focused on main lake points and the front two thirds of the pockets.  For Smallmouth and Largemouth our best results came spot removers rigged with small worms, sped craws and grubs; we also caught fish on Tightline Mussel Crawler Jigs and X-Rap Jerkbaits from Rapala .  As far as the Crappie we had our best results using Booby Garland Slab Slayer jigs on 4 pound test line, worked around docks and brush in 10 to 25 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 52 to 54 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting winter fishing on Tim’s Ford and Guntersville! Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 23 April 2015 – Had a Great Day on the water with four returning clients….Please use caution on the area lakes, with all the rain we’ve had in this past week and more coming in this weekend the lakes are high and there is lots of floating trash including whole trees…Today, we boated 42 total smallmouth and a few Largemouth today between the two trips...We focused on main lake points and the pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 10-15 FOW.  We fished Tightline Jigs on 17 pound test Vicious Ultimate and the big producer of the day was a Spot remover with a finesse bait all worked in 4 to 20 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 65-66 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting late spring/early summer fishing on

May 16, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – Spent the day with a father and son (Gery and Jeff) from Middle Tennessee catching a mixed bag of Smallmouth, Largemouth and Stripers  We focused on main lake points and pockets.  It appears the shad spawn is starting as we caught several good fish chasing on the banks. Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – 18-19 May 2015 – I had the pleasure of fishing with Dan and Marion Tussy from Clearwater, FL the past couple days as they celebrated their 30th  Anniversary. The morning bite was good as they managed to catch just about every species of fish in the lake.  We focused on main lake points and the pockets with a gravel and chunk rock in 10-25 FOW. Nov 13-25, 2014 – Tim’s Ford Fishing Report – What a week, we’ve been having a blast catching a mixed bag of Crappie, Largemouth and Smallmouth. We focused on main lake points and the front one third of the pockets.  For Smallmouth and Largemouth our best results came spot removers rigged with small worms, sped craws and grubs; we also caught fish on Tightline Mussel Crawler Jigs and DT 16 Rapala Crankbaits.  As far as the Crappie we had our best results using Booby Garland Slab Slayer jigs on 4 pound test line, worked around brush in 10 to 25 FOW.  Water temperatures ranged from 56 to 58 degrees.  Now is the time to make your reservations for some exciting winter fishing on Tim’s Ford and Guntersville!
